That's why I took the pic, but it's less than a mile from my house as the crow flies.
And from a different angle it looks like an elephant

South of Tom Groggin, near Davies Plain. The crossing is only to a camping spot, not a through road.

When walking around the port area this morning, I met this couple & stopped to ask if they were inmates here?

Only a couple of maggies left in the pic but this tree is a bit like Mount Warning: the first place in the area that the sun hits in the morning.

Even though for the rest of the day the local birds won't put up with other types of birds being close, there seems to be a mutual truce until they all warm up.

Last Monday, when I didn't have a camera, there were maggies, honeyeaters, rainbow lorikeets, king parrots, mynahs, kookas, cockatoos, galahs, eastern rosellas and pigeons just sitting peacefully - if not quietly - until they'd caught enough rays.

That is what Spring in Hobart looks like. Waiting for the next big dump of snow over the weekend. An supposed to be riding a BM R18….

I have been trying to find something to extend the front mudguard to stop the crap flying up. I do need some form of spring protection and a mudguard from a GS. These cut price BM’s don’t have suspension or mudguards.

They do have heated grips. I have arthritis in my knuckles and the heated gloves an grips set on low extend my riding. Commonsense, I should have moved way North. Not as far north as father. He lived in Weipa for a long time.
