I brought one with me but I am not using it yet.
I lost both the selfie stick and the motorcycle mount in that bag that I left in the bus.
Also it is easier to just shoot them with my inferior phone camera and directly upload them. I know the go pro will have better quality but without the mounts, it is hard. Plus I am just being lazy because I dont enjoy the editing part. My next Edventure, I will buy the mounts again and use them......promise

I was there two weeks ago, I had no idea you were in the region!!! We even hiked to that last bivacco!! We spent two weeks in Alba, not far from that bivacco. I know you are on a budget, but if you want a super steak ( or other meat ), there is a super butcher in Alba, just behind the blue supermarket. Tell him the Belgian guy that bought bread for two weeks says Hi. Super guy, speaks really good english ( his wife is British), he is a good photographer and a mountain man.
If you want some more intell on some super hikes/via ferrata, let me know. Have fun there, great region!!

I am trying to get caught up here on my RR.
As you can imagine, staying in Bivacchi, there is no internet connection, so I have fallen behind.

It was a steep climb up to my next Bivacco. Just as I approached it, it started to rain. I got inside and shut the door. It was like an icebox inside. I didn't know if I was going to be able to stay warm that night. There was no firewood or stove. But it was getting dark and raining. I had no other choice. This was going to have to be my home for the night.

I froze all night. But in the morning, the sun came out and I could see what a beautiful location this bivacco was located in.

As you can see, there wasn't much to this bivacco other than a roof over my head (which I was grateful for)

On the way down the mountain, I met this man from Slovakia. We couldn't speak each other's language but he asked me if I wanted to do a shot of sweet rakia with him. It was 10 am and I said, "sure!, what the hell". Shots.....the international language of friendship.

My next Bivacco home. I was able to ride my VFR enduro bike all the way up the dirt road to get to the cabin. I ended up staying 2 nights.

And of course I did some more hikes
    Check out these amazing views

I might be off the grid for the next couple of days.
I will check in when I can for an update.

Because........If you have an internet connection all of the time, it's not an Edventure

fwiw: e-bikes are taking over, here, in B C.
they are everywhere in the trails - with some serious riders in the mix.

Of course I do. I bought it in Nepal for $30. Anything below 45F or 5C, I get cold

I am trying to go lighter. Not heavier.
My VFR is no lightweight but the COG is low. I washed out the front end in a pile of rocks today. The bike started to fall over. On a heavy Adventure bike, I wouldn't have been able to stop it. I surprised myself and was able to keep it from falling over.
    Lighter is better.
That reminds me, I can make due with less underwear

Heading to one last Bivacco - then leaving the mountains for the beaches. Getting there is half the fun.

Even on foot, getting there is half the fun - especially with views like this

I spotted a Ibex near the top of the pass.

    Great views in every direction

    Arriving at the bivacco

    Saving the best for last

Like a hotel in nature. Just bring your own sheets

Always fun cooking up a hot meal on a wood burning stove after a long hike in

    Definitely my favorite bivacco

Then back down the mountain to explore more of this continent.
My bike is up on its center stand. I noticed the handlebars were shaking a bit. My steering head bearings are shot. I hope they hold out

same place nearly 2 months ago :yum. here we just turned around back uphill as a mile or so down the road was washed away by a landslide which was impossible to pass. Guess it was clearedby the time you got there. Nice road towards Lago di Sauris with all the tunnels..
