I have a moto club in Italy trying to plan a US tour in 2021. We did so in 2014 but import logistics were horrid. Has anyone arranged for temporary import and insurance more recently? I'd love to chat about the conditions.

You should put the country in your title, I would edit it so there is more info.....we are RTW after all. Good luck on your trip.

If you can ship/fly your bikes into Canada it is much easier, I have done so twice and customs took less than 5 minutes, once in Canada just drive over the border with no motorcycle related questions asked.
You mention insurance in your title but not text, I had my bike insured with Progressive but I am not sure they still do foreign bikes, I believe there is a place on the HUBB that still does.
