Wish I had found this thread before today, I was maybe 30mins from the current Tag yesterday visiting a good friend of mine up in Noblesville who also returned to two wheels. We rode north aimless with nothing but time. Sheesh!
I just read from late 2015 to current, I laughed more than a few times out loud. Great Thread and look forward to doing my share to keep things moving.
Anyone starting off down here in this area let me know I will do what I can to ride along, you can get the Tag, I think this is a great way to get out and sight see with a purpose rather than just out riding aimlessly.
Hey there JRFIA and anyone else. My first time attempting to grab the tag today! I should be arriving at the current tag at noon and plan on bringing it north near Bristol. It’d be awesome if anyone wants to tag along. Little rainy but no worries. I’ll check in here when I get there to see if anyone posts they can make it about noon or so. Could even kill some time if a little later and grab lunch there somewhere.
I'm just over the border in Michigan from Bristol. I may be out this afternoon for a ride so I'll watch for your post.
Made it to the old tag location. Looks like the wooden sign didn’t survive the winter . Rode down and checked out the grounds, I’ll wait here for 15 or so then head north to the tags new location
Old tag (sign didn’t make it thru winter
The new tags located in the nearest gravel roads to my house. GPS coordinates of the new tag are apps (41.3569203, -85.6645390)
Maybe you missed it. Or they took it down? The old tag was at a sign right at the main road. The museum was back a tenth of a mile or two from the highway.
Nope. Look at my pic of the old tag. You can see the frame that used to hold the sign. Look at the street sign. Same corner location. And yep, I went down the lane and saw the caboose and the hall of game buildings
You’re getting your wish. I just hope it’s not another 5 months before a new tag.
No worries. I hope folks up north play this for awhile. If it stagnates I’ll move it down south. I think the southern guys/gals are chomping at the bit to have an excuse to ride those hilly, curvy scenic southern Indiana roads. Can’t say I blame em but I’d like to learn about some of the northern hidden treasures since I’m a relative nube to the great state of Indiana.
Ill keep it active as much as i can and the gf wanta to try one
Tagged from Michigan. Good place to drop it johnoly99. I spent some time exploring the gravel roads in the area.
New Tag. Lagrange county. Lots of State land in this area also to explore with plenty of gravel roads.
For help with the location.
BTW does anyone know what those old concrete towers were originally built for? I see a lot of them across Northern Indiana and Ohio.
Ive seen them but never knew what they were
How did the pioneers make it without googling? Or get across the desert without an ADV machine?
Wow I thought you were pulling legs until I read the article.
Well I suppose it’s only fair the far north border gets its time to shine! Interesting how the tag always goes to extremes and never around central/Indianapolis
so glad to see things moving around! Great going there johnoly99 and powerranger!! keep it moving folks! great game and so many things to see out there.
Looks like an old concrete microwave tower.
