I've been working on a route that encircles Indiana and have run the Northern have to find out that my new GPS was hosed and I wear through a TKC80 rear tire...

New gps is here and new tire on order.....

Once I get this route completed it will be close to 1,000 miles of gravel/dirt roads.

I'm thinking on holding a rally of sorts, like the harley people do..
Follow my route and who ever matches the route in the shortest time frame...... Get's a cookie.

Since this route it a circle around Indiana we could hold two events.
One that runs the northern section and another that runs the southern section.

I'll keep you posted as it comes together...

    This is too much fun!

Thinking on making it an event a challenge..
I'll announce a date and post the route for the section a couple days before.
    Keep your eyes open.
My plate is currently full with prep for the MotoGP weekend and the EnduroCross this month...

I've had to break it up into multiple weekend rides and several one day rides...
    It wasn't easy.

    DM610
I could, it wouldn't take much..
Both routes are able to be completed in 2days each.. And with as many turns, I might as well call it the Million turn run..

    KneeKicker
    Yep....
    Like twice..
First time was with a new gps unit that would only take the first and last points in a route and then auto route it.. Wore out a set of tires on that weekend ....

Both routes are long days and consist of more gravel then road .. Yet is does use roads to interconnect...
I tried to tie into small towns for gas as often as possible and so that you'd hit one of the small towns at lunch...

    Can I make a suggestion?
On this list we have inmates that live all over the state of Indiana.
Most Inmates know the area around where they live and know what there is neat to see and where their favorite roads are.
So open the thread and have inmates post what they feel are must rides in their area.
Then try to include as many of them as you can.
You need great roads and interesting things to see or to stop at.
This is an enormous task to cover the state so get some help.

Maybe even include pictures of things to see.

    Great Idea!!!!!

Hmmmmm How to go about it ???
Give me some time to figure things out how to share and version the route so no one is overwriting others suggestion.....
And I'll use Tour-De-Corn as the base/Starting point...
People can check out the route... Make changes, check the route back in....

I'll combine the suggestions into the main route....

Should Make for an interesting Winter Project.....
    Keep your eyes out...

Yet this fall I plan on running the southern route as a open group ride....As is...
