If these guys talking about Vietnam bores you, just turn off the sound.

But WOW so many scoots, not orderly like Taiwan, either.

damn that is a lot of cars....last time I was there there were hardly any cars

The way to cross the road is to just start walking, bikes will make their way around you. Like a school of fish that swims around a larger fish.

A lot more traffic than when I was in Saigon in the early '60s.

I wonder if road rage is a thing in Vietnam. Somehow I suspect it isn't.

I found riding in urban areas there like being a corpuscle in a blood stream. Very cooperative.
Guys were wrong about it being great coffee. They grow low quality beans. The drip condensed milk-sugar-(secret ingredient roasted butter) coffee, while yummy, covers up the poor quality. Drink it every day for a month and your stomach will burn.
Also wrong about who changed the written script to roman lettering, a French guy, during their colonial rule.
Agree, more cars will negatively impact micro-bike paradise.
    I love Vietnam.

I spent last December in Hoi an (40 mins south of Danang) visiting my daughter and her family. Traffic was crazy over there and I was only brave enough to ride a bike. Crazy thing was I saw absolutely no road rage anywhere. Everyone just moved at a slower pace and yielded to larger vehicles. Most intersections were just 4 way merge. Had a great time visiting grandkids and absolutely loved the food!
