1. Hey everyone, We’re going to start a weekly email to surface interesting threads in the forums. No worries, you can easily unsubscribe if you don’t find it interesting. If you’re like me, it’s nice to have someone willing to poke around a big community like ours and find the most interesting stuff. Saves time and I hate missing something great. It worked really well when we had someone discovering the best photos for the home page rotation back in the day. And if you have something fascinating to post, maybe this email does everyone some good by getting it noticed. Let us know what you think when you get it. Your feedback will make it better as we go (thread). Thanks! Baldy & rudy1220

Bought new genuine brake caliper pistons the other day.

Who would know what else Harleys can do to you?

    Only in Calli anyway!

    Cheers

Full face, makes it harder for facial recognition software.

I used to always find it funny that motorcycle testers would always wear a half hat when testing cruiser style bikes, but wear a full face when testing all other bikes.
Do they think that jaw injuries, bird strikes and bug splats do not occur on cruisers ?

I used to tell a few gullible women I knew that it is illegal to wear a full face helmet on a Harley and they believed me because every Harley Rider they see has a half hat on.

Then, when they see me ALWAYS wear a full face on my Harley I say . . “yeah, but I’m a rebel !”

Know much about facial recognition software? I don't but figure soon enough the roadside wallopers will not only check the rego but also the credentials of who is driving. Or probably are already.

I figured it was so's you could see the speedo on the tank?

If you tilt your head with a full face to read it, you may miss out on someone looking at you and that's bad for the ego :toney

Having the speedo on the tank makes it easier to strap a bedroll on the handlebars.
You know, for that cool look. :lol3

I like that piccie actually. I'm not a Harley bloke but it looks like a relaxed way of touring and the thing is grotty so the owner is at least using it:thumb

i get it from both camps..

a guy with a klim jacket and alpine star toucans, on a harley just confuses most blokes..

the harley guy is sus on me if i'm off it,
and the adv crowd is totally confused if i'm on it, or meet me in the servo and start talking to me and then ask what i'm on.

then i mention i also ride a DR and both camps then give a nod and go "ahh.. one of those blokes then.." :D

@Nogoodnamesleft I like those panniers and handlebars. I wash my Road King once a year, whether it needs it or not.
