Looking forward to reading more of your adventures. Whether on motor or push bike it does not matter. Excellent narrative and photos. Enjoying every bit of your posts.
PS... Looking forward to read details on the 690 and your plans for it.
Following your web page and the continuation of your journey....still on two-wheels. (ha - just thought if Baptiste shows up again he could ride his unicycle.)
We have one more micro adventure to go before I ll be back in my garage. Will surely post a detailed report of the 690 rejuvenation. Still in the process if sorting out parts and loads to fabricate. The DRZ will undergo some cosmetic pampering as well. I have itchy hands :))
There's a dude who unicycled around the Black Sea at some point. Can't imagine one can carry enough luggage and supplies tho' :))
Would love to hear your thoughts on moto vs bicycle travelling - I imagine it's quite region specific - crossing vast deserted areas on a bicycle must be quite a chore. I love push-bikes, having lived in Copenhagen for a long time and relied on them exclusively for transportation, but have never travelled on them. The impression one gets is that although bicycles immerse you even further in your surroundings and bring you even closer to the people along the way, the motorcycle has a broader range of application, trading some of the immersion factor for greater freedom/control - you can choose to cover vast distances quickly, and get out of somewhere you don't want to be in a hurry. Thoughts?
Wow, didn't know that Olkhon island is so beautiful. Maybe next time.
This is a beautiful adventure,

Fantastic writing, photos and excellent job on the BAM solo.
The water levels were MUCH lower when you rode it just a few weeks after Kim, Noah and I. As you say, the weather makes the challenges different, not necessarily easier.
We are waiting for more
Photo server has been down for hours
Whats happening with this RR?
Just finished...what a spectacular series of adventures. Well done!!!
Hey guys sorry for being a bit under the radar but we plan to return with a vengeance: the cycling report will continue shortly and I'll start soon a 690 rebuild thread with lots of interesting stuff.
You pretty much nail it. Touring cycling is more about the body and soul but in the end adv motorcycling is the ultimate form of traveling (at least in our case because we've been spoiled with riding bikes for more than two years and then we switched to push bikes).
Cool , I will subscribe for sure to that topic

Excellent video, that!
And good to hear your first rally went well.
Cool video! It is good to see an update from you.
When is that rally held from Brasov? How much does it cost to enter?
