On a little trip out west

Dang that looks like fun. I see Moki Dugway and Horseshoe Bend.

Are making a stop at 3 Step Hideaway?

Not so much adventure ride as much as just getting in a good ride. Monday, the wife and I are going to ride out to the Amana Colonies via the Iowa River Valley Scenic Byway from Altoona.

If anyone is interested in tagging along, let me know.

Driving back from southern Iowa today I drove some roads I hadn’t been on in years. I found some stuff that needs to be explored.

Those B roads look a lot dryer than the ones we drove past on the MITRA ride on Oct. 6.

Lol water standing in the ruts clouds passed overhead and the didn’t show in pic. I wouldn’t want any part of them for a while

It's a different horseshoe bend. Pretty spectacular area.

Atallisa HS yesterday. Holeshot 50A class and was running in third, until about 2/3 done and got buried in huge mud bog. Took a half hour to get out, with the help of two other people. Every step you took buried your boot and almost pulled them off, trying to get your foot free. Fun times...

Somebody on the line ahead of me had a GoPro on their bike.

I was there!!! I ran the +50B. I did not get the holeshot but 2nd into 1st turn. Followed the leader for half a lap and passed him when he made a mistake. Only led for a short while and made a few mistakes of my own. And a Couple 4stroke flameouts at VERY inappropriate times. I ended up 2nd. I was happy with that with the mistakes I made. By the 3rd lap those ruts were DEEP! Yikes..Hit me up if you make Winterset. I have to work so I won't make Tabor.
