Daughter and I out for a Christmas ride. My older daughter never showed much interest in riding but the younger one is bugging me to go whenever it's nice. Fun times ahead with her I think.

Snap! My Dnepr snapped a valve adjuster -- the same valve that was missing a valve cap when I first got it. Hmmmm. Related? I bet so.

The Russian sidecar is down but not out.

I got my Tenere out on Friday for a ride. I forgot how good a bike it is. Rode the YZ all summer and left the poor S10 just sitting there. Only rode it a few times this year. I need more spare time and less work.

AAAHHH!!! Run it. That high tech racing machine you won't notice one dropped valve. I mean that is probably pushing 18HP :lol3

That's kind of typical with that type of adjuster. People over tighten the jam nut. Or the nut falls off, 1 or the other!

The Russian sidecar is down but not out.

So . . . don't over or under tighten the jam nut . . . which has no torque specs. :hmmmmm I ordered spares from Kiev.

you probably can find an alternative adjuster at a Honda or Yamaha shop.

Probably, but the pushrods have an odd shape to them on the end — somewhat pointed. So, I’ll wait on my package coming through Ukrposhta.

Back on the gear question...I still like stopping in at Bob's cycle supply when I'm up that way, they have always treated me well.

Picked up a 500 EXC, have not ridden yet...have been tweaking on it in the garage. This was a tough decision, was bouncing between that and the 690/701. In the end, I have always loved lightweight bikes and been a "dirt bike guy" plus the 690s were rare and when you found one, negotiating a price was tough.

    Will have a 2007 TE610 up for sale, and some take-off TKC80s 18/21"

Also I hope to get out with you guys this year.

If you central Iowa guys make it down to Kansas City area for gear stop in at Freedom Cycle in Grandview, MO (South KCMO). Large dealership including ktm and all other major brands and they carry loads of gear including Klim in house.
