I cant make it this year unfortunately.
Ugh ... wheel bearings.
Roy got stranded in Kansas during the SBR. James got stranded on his way home from the BAT.
Glad I got mine replaced after returning from the IBR start this year, at 130k. Now I have one less thing to worry about as we get close to The Void!!
A little late in reporting but here is my route for the SBR, 3800 miles. No stress ride except that we lost 11000 points at the table. 15 teams/30 bikes started. 12 finished, we were 11th. My SBR number is 011.
Lakota, was Roy Kjendals partner your family, too? I suspect yes & that's amazing that you all have the long distance bug. Good job in the rally
Roy’s partner Steven Rufo is my son-in-law
Anyone here attempting the Atomic 1000 this weekend reading along here?
Not me. I'm going to be at work. Best of luck to anyone attempting the ride.
Nope - just had cataract surgery on Wednesday (LOVE IT!!!!), but no motorcycle riding for several weeks for me.
My dad had it done a few years ago, and said the same thing. Heal well!
Keep an eye on gregrice.com. He is unveiling something exciting tomorrow early afternoon
For you early planners, I would like to pass on a guide to Alaska. Book. This was given to me by 420Sean (@413Sean) and he had received it from the late @Hi-De-Ho . I also have a 2018 milepost . Just pm me and I’ll send it or them out.
You VOID riders should check your email
Good stuff, a little light reading for the winter planning
Received e-mail confirming ride verification.
Two old long riders just happened to bump into each other in Pine Bluff WI this morning. We swapped Dalton and Dempster stories. I wish you nothing but good luck with your wife Steve. Men do what men have to do.
Your bike turned out well after the get off.
Friday morning departure, Ft Worth Tejas to Ashland La.
Helped my Deddy with his booth at the Castor Pine Beatle festival.
Headed back home today.
Good to see ya out and about Traxx! Hows the sporty treatingvya as an LD machine? Your back must be feeling a little better. All the best-420Sean
Great post of y'all meeting up! The stories of each others rides up north had to have been epic
Well, she falls short as a long distance machine. The trip was about 300miles 1 way. The seat really needs to be addressed and the fuel range is a bit short. I was getting about 90-100 miles before the fuel light came on. I would like to slim down on the luggage as well.
Yep, my back is doing much better.
