The IBA will cert new rides but when you submit your documentation, you'll need to add a letter justifying your assumptions , route, preqs and metrics for the different level rides you're proposing. It took me several emails back and forth with Mike on several new rides I proposed/completed. He's pretty open-minded but metrics are where your ride either goes or falls apart.

Time flying by. It was a year ago today that I made it to the Arctic Ocean!

I did sell the V-Strom so the Harley is an only child ... now it can have whatever it wants. :)

    Yes it does!
Added the BeadRider seat cover, different foot pegs and ordered the HD plug and play cruise control. This will be my first bike with cruise control.
Don't think I will be able to try an IBA ride this year, hopefully next year.

No. I had the Victory Vision 8-Ball, there was no cruise on that model.

I wouldn't do IB rides were it not for cruise control...

Of my four rides three were done with throttle lock one with cruise control. Cruise control definitely is easier to keep a constant speed.

I like the cruise control, it keeps me from getting tickets.

My first bike with cruise control and it probably has a 120 mile fuel range and I might try one long ride...:loco

    The 2018 and newer Fat Bob's have a 3.6 (3.59) gallon tank.

Let’s have some quarantine fueled, day dreaming fun!
Now that kiddo is old enough and “gets it” as far as LD / moto camping / ADV trips. We’re talking about a UCC in the future. Well assuming a return to normalcy.

What’s the wrong bike to do this on? I need a challenge
I’m thinking a TU250x, Rebel 300, or some China thing.

My wife and son are chatting yesterday, and *she* was the one that tossed out the idea of "Saddlesore lunch ride to see Junior?"

See, she's done it once a few years ago, yet she's not been on the bike in a couple of months. At least.

    "Yeah, but not this weekend..."

I told her she needs to get back on the bike for a couple hundred miles at least *before* a trek like that.

    She agreed, reluctantly.

See my contributions in this thread over in JM: https://advrider.com/f/threads/carpal-tunnel-syndrome.1332828/

Provided my state isn't keeping this from happening, I'm having this done in a couple of weeks.
