It’s cold, I’m bored, humor me......
I’m only 2 rides away from ME Bronze status. I need a BBG and at least an SS to earn it. So I’ve been mulling an idea that involves some nesting. I’m wondering if this is legit.
    Day 1 JAX-Van Horn 23h
Sleep 8-10hrs (I know thats too much, it’s just for planing)
    Day 2 Van Hron-SDO-Yuma. 20 hrs
That would earn my needed BBG and SS as individual rides. But it could also earn me a nested 50cc.
Does this seem reasonable and within the rules?

I nested *only* a BBG into my 50CC. That was acceptable.

You *still* have to come home from SDO. Why not RON there (in SDO), then get up and bust out a SS (or a BBSilver) toward home?

The 50CC is the 'orphaned' ride, but that'll get ya three certificates, two of which counts toward the ME Silver.

Sadly I won’t get silver without 2 additional rides. I’m claiming 2018 and 2019 rides toward my Bronze.
Couple reasons to not RON in SDO, it’s only a tank away to Yuma, and completing the SS / ME level. Yuma is the start of the CABDR which I’d like to do. Then I have a few warm tourist stops on the way back east. Marfa, Lukenback, S. Padre, etc

I could be mistaken ... but I believe nested rides (even accepted ones) don't count towards Mile Eater status? Meaning the miles may allow more than one document, but will only count once to a Mile Eater award.

I missed a Silver by one measly SS 2 years ago when I bailed on a TOH ride cuz I wasn't feeling it. That was the only one I ever considered but I am just a few regular SSs away form Gold so I may put in for that this year, maybe in Jax.

Thats my understanding also. I’m clarifying that the BBG & SS would count while still allowing the 50cc just because.

A nested certificate means two certificates were received for doing ONE ride.
It's sad to see that a nested ride would be excepted for a Silver Mile Eater. If it is, it should be noted on the certificate.

Agreed on that one. Counting miles twice is poor form.

Not sure how I confused y’all.
I’m aware that traditional nesting is prohibited for ME awards. I’m not asking about that.
I’m askimg if its cool to pick up other certs while underway.
