Did you have a spotwalla track? That may support consideration for mileage before/after. These folks prefer to approve rides than deny them, so I recommend giving them a chance to review it.

Would the distance to your fuel stops not add up to another mile? I would think that would be equivalent to marking corners with a fuel receipts.

This. Although tying up the verification team on a ride that doesn't meet criteria is ill-advised, you're damn close and you followed the rules. I'd send it in for sure.

Yup, and a track would help tell the rest of the story, which is why almost all of us have them for our rides.

I agree with Ken. It is these small 10ths of a mile here and there that aren't accurately reflected in actual 'plotted addresses'. Gassing up 6, 7 or 8 times adds mileage between the posted street addresses. My 1st BBG was approved at 1502 verified mileage. I grabbed the last receipt with under a minute to spare and was sure I was gonna be short as I hadn't reached my planned 'end' location. It actually proved out by Mr Mike himself.

Hey, you have one hell of a good story either way :lol3

I still need to paint or powder coat the top case mount but that will be a winter project.

Same thing with me on a BBG from home too Omaha, luckily the ol spot tracker told mr Mike I was in a certain location at a certain time. He emailed me personally at my last fuel receipt of a BBG I did, obviously the time change had me messed up, but it was in my favor, as I had claimed it wasn't done properly, he said you are fine, traveling through different timezones has messed with many a rider.

However I have learned from this thread, the 3% rule, which is ride another 20-30 miles beyond the endpoint, get another receipt,or anything too prove you're location. Just things these fellas here have taught me

Steve your sickle. Looks great!! Took my 1st long ride. Since 4/1/21 and it really wasn’t that far. 4/1/21 was a ss1k in state with a TOH theme. Just the wrong one. More on that latter. Went to Battle creak Michigan this weekend to watch the cannonball riders. Arrive and leave in the AM .https://www.indianamps.org/who-was-erwin-baker/ This is a link that started are passion of LD Riding. Hope you enjoy the pics. If there headed to your area. Haven’t posted in this thread for a while. Just finishing a 3,000+ mile ride. Took a week, so the two longest days were 650 or so. Still a long day for me. Took the CTX again. It’s doing well.
I do have one big question, I hope there’s an answer. Yesterday I went from Glenrock WY to near Des Moines IA. Traveled mostly two lane. (Highway 20 across Nebraska). I was getting pounded by a strong south wind all day long. 30 mph, maybe. It felt worse. The question is, what can be done to mitigate the effects? Just pounding my helmet and pushing me around. I just ride through it, but it’s not fun. Hope there’s something that I can do, and still ride.
I used a handlebar mount for the iPhone 8. Now my camera won’t focus. I guess I’m the last one to hear a handlebar mount messes up iPhones.
Here’s a few pics. (Camping in Big Horns.)

Nice ride. You shoulda stopped by, I live in Rolling Hills, just outside of Glenrock. Wind is unfortunately part of life out here. I spend a lot of my summers in the Bighorns dual sporting and hiking.

I should have! Ha! I camped in the city park almost under the highway. Had to use earplugs, but slept well.

I’ve always really liked the Big Horns. It’s almost always pretty cool weather there. Of course they are 8,000 to 9,000 ft, so that may have something to do with it. I did notice a lot of great gravel roads all through there. Might have to bring out the T7.

Be sure to say hi if you come back out. FWIW, the town park camping is a bit better if you go further back by the water crossing. It'll get you away from the highway a bit and give a better tree buffer. Of course this is a bit late, but for future reference you know now.
