    That is the way to go if you are in a hurry but if you would rather enjoy seeing more of Mexico I would suggest you cross south of Deming NM and go to Casas Grandes then on to Creel then to Guachochi then to Parral then down to Zacatecas. This rout is much more scenic but your rout is faster if you need to make time.

    I reported in January about the passing of Steve Johnson, founder of F650.com. Today, I witnessed the spreading of the final portion of his ashes in the Rio Bacanuci, just north of Arizpe by his riding friends, Maralyn, John, Marina. I have been told that Steve spent his first night as a Mexico rider in Arizpe so it was a fitting location.
    The rest of his ashes were spread in Alamos and in the sea of Cortez at San Carlos.

    1. Hey Tom sad to here of Steves passing as I owned a f650 for 7 years, he and I did a valve check seminar at the BMW rally in Oregon a few years ago. He pulled atrailer wiyh his grandson 2 up to that rally!
