So i figured i'd try to make an thread here, i have not seen to many builds like this, so im hoping for good ideas and feedback on my project :lol3

It started out with an 91 3tb xt600
But she was fat and started to look abit old. And it was like she was not able to bring me as long into the woods as i wanted too:muutt:icy

So to skip the part u guys already missed out on, this is what i have done by now:
-Frame cut in half-> 04 yz450f subframe fitted.
    -04 yz450f plastic/tank/seat/fotrests
-husaberg fe 600 exhaust (ment for the orginal frame so its to low now)
    -pro taper handlebars,new levers etc
-overhauled engine "ish" im running half a 3tb engine and half a 2kf (one half a crankcase of each) losing that useless external extra 5. Gear lube line. And fittet new bearings/piston etc.

    Plans:
-Alloy front rim (xt 2kf) - not fitted yet
-Ktm SX swigarm - not fitted yet, need new rear shock and rim
-Pumper carb (from crf450 prob.) Still have to buy this. But i already have an grizzly 660 intake (fits perfect on xt600 for single carb convertion)
    -new exhaust mod

Anyone have ideas/experience/questions around any of this? Please tell/show :smooch

Update! Sx(02) Swingarm, exc shock and rim (08) since last time i also fitted a dominator exhaust and a 08exc headlight!
Fitting the parts are now in progress!

maybe switch to a wr tank? that thing looks cool but a big slide carb with a accelerator pump is going to be thirsty and
kill that gallon and a half quick

Hah, yeah i have been thinking the same thing :clap yz tank is only about 6-7 liters, but there is also the issue with room under the tank, but hopefully the carb i get uses less space then the twin carb stuff going on there atm. I was thinking acerbis tank or something like that to rly get some room for fuel :D but carb first, tank issues later :p

    Thanks for your toughts!

xr200 with cr85. or xr600 with crf450. just day dreaming about it. I probably should have done it on my dr350 builds but its way too late for that now

Don't wanna brake your dreams, but atleast for the crf450, u will have some problems swapping the fuel tank, but there is prob ways around it :D

    Also! Useless upgrades (spoke covers)
And maybe a better look of the xt
And yes i bough the wrong decal's set 06 insted of 04. But i figuree since everything else just sort-of-fits why not..

    nice work
be sure and put in new du fork slide bushings
and check the clearance for extra slop the low bushing that wraps around the stanchion tube is quite easy to reduce clearance with some shim underneath it
the upper bushing below the seal needs the ends filed in order to do any adjustement

    Nice Conversion! :-)
I'm guessing not road legal - just for playing in the woods?
Electric start could be added, but only if you have access to the 'E' parts from a 90 or later model.
You'll need a 30mm longer crank on the left side for starters.
(I'm gathering parts for a TT600RE Belgarda conversion also with the FCR carb. will go with a milled intake, but have seen the 660 Raptor versions as well.)
Great work so far - I'll be staying tuned. Keep the photos coming!

Well, it's plated now, but if i ever get pulled over thats prob the end of that :p
But yeah i mainly use it to play in the woods :)
Ah i was afraid of that, that the e-start convertion would take to many new parts to it being worth it :p
Im gonna try to post more, i tend to forget to take photos :p

So i ripped apart my rear tire tube AGAIN! So i started fitting the KTM swingarm, shock and rim (18") WITH a tire lock. Im still i progress at fitting stuff to be perfect, atm it's "bolt-on" fitted exc 15mm swingarm bolt in the xt's 16mm holes and what not and the shock is in the stock frame mount. So far it has been WAY more easy to fit then i first even hoped for :p and... the ktm setup is TEN kg lighter then the xt setup! 10kg less! And im getting a shock i can adjust in 3 ways + the tire lock :clap:clap
As for now tho the seat hight is about 25mm lower due to the free sag without a rider. So if it's not possible to adjust the shock as it stands now i might make a new frame mount for it. But this is how it stands today :)

Im also fitting a fcr pumper carb with a grizzly 660 intake, plan B is just to add ramair podfilters to the stock carbs. But im gonna finish the swingarm first :)
