Easy ride on fire roads. A little steep and rocky entering/leaving Mill Creek drainage, but nothing too challenging. There's a little unimproved campground at Black Rock, right on the creek which had water flowing even in August in the California drought. I went "south to north" from Hwy 32; the last 10 or 15 miles or so is paved county road near Hwy 36, but you can cut off on Ponderosa Way to stay on dirt. Very little 4 wheel traffic and there was some logging happening past the Narrows a few months back, but none now.
