Faithfully checking in. Cannot wait to see page 143 appear!
Timing is everything.
On the boat ride we got our first view of “Luztopia.” “Luz” is Spanish for “light” and “topia” is Spanish for……”topia,” I suppose. It is a grand holiday display with over 200 metal frame
….and at this point, we’d only been in Monterrey a little over 24 hours. There is still lots to come! I hope I didn’t overdo it with photos in this post. When you have three people you get three times the pictures! There were so many interesting things. Our adventure will continue in the next episode.[/QUOTE]
Sorry this is not timely but I'm only up to 12/26/17 on your report which I'm enjoying very much. Here's my vote for the best trip report of all time! Very well written and great photos!
At this point, I have two burning questions.
1. How do you feel about answering questions from complete strangers about your trip for the rest of your life?
2. I imagine you have learned a lot over your travels. Did you ever learn how to tie your shoes like normal folk?
Maybe you already addressed these questions and I just haven't gotten to them yet.
If so, no reply necessary.
Yes, it was also for Randel! He was with us in spirit! Thanks for being such a great resource for Brett on his trip. Have loved your comments.
It’s been my honor.
I will be visiting with Brett tonight and will try to use a little motherly coaxing for him to get the next post out. Mike, our wonderful Florida host, will be the main author. We got to read the rough draft while in Florida and it is a great story. Hopefully, it will be worth the wait for you.
Thanks to everyone of you in this community for your support and encouragement for Brett. And to those of you who hosted or helped him this mom will be forever grateful. All the best to you and ride safe! Wingmom
Appears you did a very good job of raising your son.
Appears she can't hang up her "Mom spurs" just yet, though.
They never do. Once a Mom, always a Mom.
Wishing my mom was still around to dig her spurs into me. Just saying...
I hear that Bro.
I know that section of Charouleaux Gap. Challenging on a loaded bike.
I think this is my first time to reply to this thread but I have followed your report since the beginning and have really enjoyed your pictures and storytelling. I always kept my wife up to date of what was going on also.
I think Bill got you a great shot of Crater Lake.
My wife and I took a West Coast trip on our Super Tenere in 2017, we were at Crater Lake on June 2, 2017. Most of Rim Drive was closed, we could only go to the lodge and the first scenic turnout to the west. Snow was still several feet high along the roadway. We were not able to get as good of a picture as what you got.
You probably have a lot of good resources to edit pictures for you or do it yourself but here's my cut at cleaning up the Crater Lake picture. (interceptor1972 did a nice job of removing the crane at the Oklahoma State Capitol for you. Reply #2161)
I know you have probably already forgiven Pink Coat Lady by now but I was having trouble with it, so now maybe I can.
God bless you!! I fell off a while back unfortunately, but I will catch up!! Kudos!!! Safe travels !
Pretty good photoshop job. But I think we must honour the legend of Pink Coat.
I saw what you did there.
How many of you potential courtroom eyewitnesses didn't notice Nessie right away?
Methinks something good is just around the corner...
