This is not good---
need to find out what is going on ---
hope it is something minor that can be figured out
Sorry to hear about your troubles.
I hope it's nothing major
It has been a while since I’ve posted anything on here but I have to say I should have took RoyQ up on a test ride with that Tiger Xc when he offered it to me. But instead I rode Greg’s AT.
I purchased a 2018 Honda Africa Twin
It jus didn’t fit me, so I continued to regret not riding Roys 800Xc and a opportunity came up to ride a Xr rodie 14 model and jus love the fit between the power and weight of the bike.
So I bit the bullet and purchased a
2018 Triumph Tiger XCa. I know there isn’t a perfect bike but Triumph has gotten really close on this one.
My recent rescue. Sat unused for many years. New fuel pump motor, flush of all the old fuel, changed all the fluids, pulled final drive and greased splines, flushed brakes and new tires. about 300 miles so far and this 05 GS is running pretty good! I just ordered a Madstad windshield.
Passing through Jackson tomorrow on the Trace. Anything that is a "must see" while there?
I can't think of any must see areas, just mile after mile of quaint relaxing scenery. Be cautious not to speed, they enforce it for sure.
Just stay on the Trace nothing to see in Jackson except big city blight and plenty of crime.
So after an extended absence, I decided to try to make a ride report again...
Happy 4th of July, everybody!!!
For the last several years i have been looking at the GSA’s, I have had them on my mind and couldn’t shake it. Being a taller rider i just felt like it would fit me better than anything else. Every time i get on this site i caught myself going straight to the flea market lookin to see if i could find what i wanted. Most all the ones i found with the options i wanted were either in California or they were the Low version. I finally found what i was looking for so yesterday it drove 1100 miles to Troy, IL and back to meet an inmate and puchased this bike. Hopefully it will be worth it.
Good looking bike Al. Congrats!
Thank you sir!

Possibly could be fun
BMW Riders of Mississippi
Thank you and thanks for the invite.
I will check with Pappy and his wife----this will his first trip since the accident----- this week and post a meeting location and time for kickstands up
I copied the e-mail that Pappy sent out and pasted it up for anyone interested in riding or just come up and hang out for a bit.
IT MIGHT BE WET BUT SO WHAT---MAKES FOR A GREAT MEMORY -
because interesting circumstances make the best tales around the storytelling table.
Our meeting Saturday will be at Ground Zero Blues Club, 387 Delta Ave Clarksdale MS 38614.
I will be leading a great ride as follows:
Meet at the Madison Hwy 51 Kroger fueling island at 7:45 am
KSU – 8:00 am
The route goes through Flora, Bentonia, Satartia, Yazoo City and on up Hwy 49W.
This route is 143 miles long and takes about 2.5 hours. We plan to take a 30 minute stop and arrive about 11:30 am.
Then if you choose the ride home goes to Batesville then Hwy 35 south to Vaiden and then hwy 51 south back home.
185 miles and 3.5 hours not including any stops.
Hope to see you there,
10 years ago this week, I went for my first extended ride, following Pappy and Wife to Clarksdale. Had lunch at Abe’s, stopped by Ground Zero, and learned I needed to learn a lot about hot summer riding in the Delta and longer trips!!! I was on a KLR, they were two up on GS... what memories!! :lol
Talked to Pappy today at work and we are hoping to ride - he might drive if it looks too bad---I am going to ride either way---maybe the rain will melt some of the fat off. LOL
If you want come up I'll buy your lunch,
Probably owe you one anyway>
