My ride today was cut short by a failed fuel connection. Guess I didn’t get back right after New Years maintenance! Got a few miles from house and bike died. Cycled power and fuel shot out side of bike. Had to ride Carabnsol’s bike back to my house to get Jeep and Trailer... :face palm: guess I will check connections tomorrow evening....

Well might as well join in on this thread... Live in New Orleans but have found the best riding is in MS... Here is my 03' F650GS "Fakar" I call it "Das Ficker" it is not a Dakar just wears the plastics... Reminds me it is about time to do the water pump shaft and seals....

I like to cross the Pearl River in Pearl River, and just ride... Any of those backroads are fun to just ride around in... Then find a dirt road and just see where it takes me... Then De Soto is awesome but you have to be careful as it can get a bit much for an ADV bike you have to not be a hot shot with it...

How much riding is permitted in De Soto? Any areas that you recommend?

    Best regards,

A street legal bike can ride on any designated public road in a NF... if the Rangers aren’t like officer friendly that was there 10 years ago... if it is a non-street legal bike, you have to haul it to one of the OHV trails...

Are the OHV trails worth the visit?

There are several YouTube videos from people riding them. That should give you a good preview...
