My friend Jim Ellis wrote the text and Im sure there were more involved. I felt lucky to be able to spend some time with Jerry yesterday. He drove 9 hrs for a trials and we where fortunate to have him. Guys like him and Jim have done so much for trials especially in the east. Jim has put a lot of effort into kids sections the last few years to keep the sport going 814DA7E3-C371-4FBB-A65A-06B184D23F5A.jpeg

How big is PTR these days? I know every once in a while we get some riders up from that area, but I have no idea what the club/scene is like. Clearly it was big back in the day.

Jerry gave us a preview of it, at the Ryan Young School, that PTR hosted last April.
PTR is going strong, with a large group of riders of all ages. Great club and awesome people! If I lived closer, I’d be a member!

Met up with Jerry at long time PTR member, Dick Oliver's house. I got the tour of his awesome Machine Shop/Woodworking Shop. Also got to see some beautiful wooden boats and a kayak he's built.
After lunch it was off to Roaring Branch to see the Memorial, and check out where some of the sections were.

I remember Rick and Dot Von Gerbig!
Their son Steve is my age.
Rick and Steve were (probably still are!) great folks and really fine riders.
