I got this in an email from a guy at work. Just passing it on to this group. Any of you going out to help?

Come out and have fun at
The Jim Creek / Knik River Cleanup!

Saturday May 20 10 AM thru 4 PM

The Knik River area is Southcentral’s most popular OHV riding area. Come out and help pick up the trash before the summer really gets started. We do not make the mess but we do more good than you realize when we clean it up. Come out and help us keep riding areas open, meet other riders and do something that makes you feel good about yourself! Bring the kids and get them started in taking care of the areas we use.

    Here is the Deal!

You bring yourself, gloves, your wheeler or bike or however you get around, and your family and all of your ATVing friends. We will supply trash bags, trash disposal and maps of the area. You fill up the trash bags and bring them back to the parking area. It is just that easy!

Everyone who brings in a full bag of trash is entered in the Door Prize Drawing, held at 4 PM. The same bag of trash gets you into the BBQ at 3 PM. ATV dealers and other outdoors oriented stores provide the prizes for the Drawing, thank them for their support when you are there!

This is the fourth year the Alaska ATV Club has sponsored cleanups for the area. In the last three years we have gathered over 40 tons of trash. Unfortunately it never stops, but the area is getting and staying cleaner each year. Come out and help us show the rest of the world that ATVers are the ones who do the most to maintain the area for everyone!
The Pavilion Parking area is center stage for the events – take the Old Glenn/Palmer Alternate/Knik River Rd exit from the Glenn Hwy (after Eklutna flats), go 10.5 miles north on the Old Glenn (over the river bridge at mile 8), and turn east on Sullivan Rd (watch for the Raceway Park signs), 1.25 miles down Sullivan and you will see the parking area on your right.

I would love to head on out there, but I have a previous engagement with Walk of America... Hopefully some people here will have the opportunity to step up. Thanks for bringing it here! :clap
