    Greetings.

Mark here. I'm relatively new to Texas who lives south of the Metroplex, not far from 35W and 67. Been around the forum a bit, getting active, getting to know folks. I've been riding on and off since the early 80's.

Always looking for riding buddies, fellas who like to ride near and far. When I had a Tenere, I didn't do a lot of day tripping in favor of more 3 to 7 day adventures that took us 1,500 - 2,000 miles. I didn't know why. Now that I have new KTM Super Adventure, I know why. The Tenere was just ok to ride, this SA is fun. Been awhile since I've been on a FUN bike.

Have some local paved and dirt haunts, usually try to ride locally several times a month and do a long weekend 4-5 times a year with a big trip in there somewhere. Anyway, if you're ever riding south and west of DFW, give me shout.

    Hey guys,

I live in Fort Worth. I have a 2017 Africa Twin. I commute on it a fair amount. REALLY want to take this thing off-road. Without getting arrested for trespassing, lol... Any suggestions on where to go? Would be cool if we could set up a meetup on meetup.com or something similar. I've heard there are public trails on the outskirts of the metroplex. Is this true? I saw rdm197apd mentioned Bridgeport, doesn't look like that's too far. Would be cool to get out with a group and go.

Crossbar in Davis, OK is awesome! http://www.crossbarranchok.com There is an easy trail and then there is what we call "The Man Trail" 18 miles of single track, 15 creek crossings, over 6000 acres of fun.

That ain't no joke. Spent 15 years outside of Tucson - endless desert roads no matter where you looked. GS stuff. Dirt bike stuff. First time rider stuff. Twisty stuff. Good riding in every direction.

Doesn't get much more last minute, but I'm riding down to Granbury for breakfast and would welcome company. I'll be at the Smokehouse/Shell station on I35W and FM 917 at 8am (not the stand-alone Shell on the southbound side)

Just picked up a 2017 vstrom 650 a couple weeks ago I'm in Forney east of Dallas. Put 700 miles on the bike the first 2 weekends I had it. I ride often. Haven't had a bike in 10 years but used to ride crotch rockets back in my younger years. And I've had atv's. I know the paved roads in Arkansas and SE Oklahoma really well. I host a car cruise through the ozarks twice a year for the North Texas ST's. Looking to start hitting some dirt trails soon once I finish putting on my farkles. Have crash bars already but need barkbusters, soft panniers, and a skid plate before I venture off the pavement. Actually going on a road trip next weekend with 3 friends to Hotsprings June 23rd. But they ride Harleys. Looking for local bike meets that have adventure riders and would love to go on some fun rides

Pacman is referring to the "South O' The 'Plex" on TwoWheel Texans. We have meetups for eating and riding. Mostly south of the DFW metroplex.

We had a good ride this past Saturday: Red Oak, Ennis, Italy, Waxahachie.

The "South O' The 'Plex" group is riding to lunch at BBQ on the Brazos in Cresson this Saturday. I've got a route I'm running out of Alvarado if anyone would like to join.
About 120 miles, mostly CRs and FMs, all paved. Hit me up for details if interested.

Hey All! My name is Adam. I recently moved to the DFW area from Ontario, Canada. I currently ride a CRF1000 and love to take it off the beaten path.

My last big ride was to the Arctic Circle,Yukon, in September 2018. Otherwise back home I'd spend most weekends throughout the summer and fall months riding rally events and trail riding throughout Ontario and Southern Quebec. I'm down to ride anything from open dirt roads to single-track trails, and really love the gnarly trails. More offroad, the better!

Work brings me to DFW for at least the next year. I'm looking for fellow ADV/Dual Sport riders to connect with and escape the metroplex for weekend rides.

Welcome to the Metromess. You're going to love winter. You're going to hate summer. Summer begins in March. :D

Wait until we get the first snow flurries here this winter. Sanding trucks will be out in full force, schools will close, and people will swarm the grocery stores buying bread and milk.

Look up Two Wheeled Texans (twtex.com) - there's a Big Bend ride every year that's not to be missed (plus a whole host of other stuff)
