Jim looks like I will not be able to attend the trifecta and I am bummed about it. But while this is going on my wife and I will be riding our 650's on the Dempster heading to Tuk.
I will be riding to the UP to go camping with my brothers on July 20-25 I am hoping that the timing of either the Lake Huron ride or the big Great Lakes works so I can ride one of them.

Bob : I'll keep that in mind. Think the Big Great Lakes 100. If that works for you and Rich from Norway does the ride, maybe you guys can coordinate. How would Tuesday the 28th work for you ?

Have fun on the Dempster ! Maybe some day I'll make it up there.

BTW, as far as the OPP goes, I can't remember seeing even one OPP car the entire time we were in Canada during the great Lakes 100 earlier this year.

Over the years I’ve had two stopped close encounters with OPP. Thankfully I wasn’t 20 over. :clap

Was in lower Ontario late November and noticed the 402 was posted 110kph. For years it was 100kph. On the 90kph stretches along Lake Superior usually ride 60mph/100kph.

Yes Sir, the 28th would be fine for me. After the camp out with my brothers I will be hanging around Michigan and Indiana visiting relatives for a few weeks.
    Thanks!

Bob: Sorry, I mis-spoke. The BMW MOA is July 31 to August 2. What about a little earlier, say July 14th ?

EDIT : Ops, the MOA is JUNE 25-28 , not the above.

Jim, I should be able to get to Michigan by the 14th. I will not know for sure until the Alaska Ferry system posts the schedule for next summer.
    Thanks

Jim, would this qualify for a solstice ride? I don't have that cert yet. Scary to think that if it were, this might kickoff/enable more wild ideas to come. :jack

Bingo !! You are correct. All three rides will be summer solstice rides since the solstice is June 20th this year. So the certs should reflect that.

Thanks for pointing that out. See: Summer Solstice and IBA Solstice Rides

Looks like 2 more for the list. I'll shoot you an e-mail once we agree on which route.

It's looking pretty solid for me for the Lake Superior one. Doing a ride on the Solstice is the way to do it and my wife has given me the blessing.

Need to work out a few details, but I should be in.

Now I'm wondering if borders and the like will even be open for this ride. I certainly hope they are - this may be my first real escape from my house in two months by that time.
