Hey Doug, glad to see you made it. You weren't kidding about the heat-NV was HOT as hell and difficult, but I always stayed just ahead of the rain so I had it easier. Did you ride those ridge trails high up in the mountains in OR-they were beautiful. There was one steep trail I wanted to warn you of, but after you cruised Warloop & the CO passes, I figured who was I to question your riding prowess:lol3

Hey Doug, would it have been easier or harder without the sidecar? OR impossible? Just wondering

Would of been tough carrying that refrigerator as a backpack lololo -- I don't pretend to have Doug figured out but after reading a bit if his 2009 chopper around the world RR I'm getting closer and if it's been done I doubt it trips Dougs trigger - Riding a hog in the dirt naaa -- 8 second quarter mile maybe -- harley with a sidecar across America in the dirt now that's an adventure!!! :dj

Wonder what's next the tat on a 502 bb chevy boss hoss with a mudgrip !! hmmmm --- shoot i bet a guy couldn't pack enough gas to do that one :205

I see the Spot is in action again. Go Doug, Go!

I was worried about all the snow starting to fall in the upper Rockies, but looks like he's on the southern route to get home in time for Barber.

    Thank you, Doug.

A] I have in my will, that some of my ashes must be scattered on Cinnamon Pass, in the general area that gave you the most BS in your ascent (some also @ pa 'blk forest, and, blkh2o country/potomac highlands, wv.)

B] +1K on a TW200. It's a very competent, friendly 'puppy-dog' of a bike. A do-it-all, all-be-it slow, motorbike. I have ridden my 'Darth Trailway,' (its an '88 red'n'blk,) a lot on the snowmobile trails here in CNY (w/ sheet metal screw 'studs;') finished enduros in ECEA PA and NETRA MA events (checkers:'aw right! here's the guy on teh trailway!' @one section in a PA enduro, in coal country, in a 10 mile section atop the quartzite ridges, I was 30 min late- had to bend my brake lever arm straight 8 times, w/ my faithful visegrips -and that's w/int'obs'trials experience. But you have a lot of experience w/ low ground clearance.) Highly recommended, lil bikes = big fun. I'll take 2, new ones!

    Thanks again. Namaste!

I got to Bama in time, so hope to see some of you guys at barbers.
I'll finish the oregon part of the report when all that is over with.

While I was at Patricks, I found a deal on a truck I had been hunting for a couple years, a Dodge 12 valve cummins diesel with a 5 speed & reasonable miles on it.

It was in great shape, except the crappy 90s clear coat on the paint had flaked off

I had a couple days to kill, so I sanded & shot it flat black.

Patrick does custom paint, so he flamed it for me

so now it looks more 'me' :lol3

I built up the bed to make enough clearance so I didnt have to take it apart to haul it home

It took me 6 weeks to get to the pacific, and 3.5 days to get home, with a stop in Cali to get some bike parts I found.
