Cuttle, how do you like the TA3's om the whole? My 1290SA came with a set or Road Attack 3s on it, and I have been so impressed with them that I ordered a set or the Trail Attack 3s to replace them.

I've used that tire before on the CA trip, I love them on the road, they are ok on gravel considering the thread. Loose pea gravel is squirmy, but what street tire isn't on that?

I will probably stick with that tire, unless I find myself doing more gravel (for that I am eying a TKC70 or Avon 54 or something like that)... but that's why I have the DR anyways

What kind of mileage do you get out of them compared to other tires?

I can't tell you yet, I took them off the F650 after the CA trip (back to knobbies), that was 2.5k miles and they were like new.

When I bought the FJ the tires were pretty new, and I've done about 4.7k miles on it since I got it. The rear is pretty squared off though from the ride back form WY:

I can think of a dozen roads in her backyard that are as twisty and deserted with no 30 mph speed limits.

^You must be near Asheville. It’s the only section of the BRP they seem to keep open in the winter anymore.

I am indeed! Only went about as far as the folk art center because of road closures.
