Preparing for a whole month of Trans Euro Trail
Front tyre went missing during the shipping process, so I ordered another one at another dealer and thankfully it arrived today. I still need to make an oil change and change the oil seals around the shift lever.
Shiny new chain kit, rear tyre, new neoprene fork socks ...
Roadbook will be stored in the shelf for the trip, good gps visibility is more important !
The Enduristan beltpack from the last post will find its place on the handlebar to carry powerbank and camera.
3 days to go if everything turns out as expected.

After just a few days I had a stupid highsider when turning from tarmac to gravel, so embarassing and sad.
My collarbone still needs time to heal up, the bike got a new watercooler yesterday and the front fairing needs to be repaired and painted.

Hi I don't know if you will see this but I will try anyway. I am rebuilding a 660 RR at the moment and am looking for parts, I wondered if you are still riding the 660 and if you know of any parts for sale.
Hey, it has unfortunately become a bit quiet on here for a while, so I will may just drop some quick lines to keep you updated. The bike has been sold to a fellow german adventure riding enthusiast in early 2019 after the repair of the damaged parts. At least 10 photos should follow in total, hope you can see them.
I wanted to take it easy for a while and got a cheap 640 Adventure with rally seat and some other small improvements, but it didn´t take long and I found an offer for a "cheap" 2003 660 Rally which stood in a garage for 8 years and was in need for some love. So long story short, after about only 4 weeks I had an all red 660 Rally again ^^
Of course she needed to be blue so I gave it a try by myself, ordered a spray gun and BMW Laguna Seca Blue coat and prepared one of my garages to become a backyard-paintshop ^^
Brought the seat to a saddler for a refurbish and blue side walls, this and that, bits and bobs, some usual stuff later she was ready for 2019. Took me about two weeks from purchase to "ready to race" state :)
I used her to travel to Stella Alpina 2019 with some friends, really great if you ever have the chance to visit it !
Unforunately within a few weeks the coat on the tanks started bubbling because I had not given it enough time to let the petrol fumes evaporate before sealing and coating the tanks, so I removed the paint again and acutally drove that "colour scheme" from late 2019 up to now. Actually that was pretty funny and I thought about giving it a high-gloss clear coat finish, but never did so.
I also could win a nice little enduro event in northern german with it, great fun and first price was a Trial Training event with a rental trial bike !
In 2020 as you may can expect not a lot happened, at least some casual rides on father´s day and two weekends on a mx track together with friends were possible.
So, what to expect next for 2021 ?! Well, guess!
It acutally feels a bit like "I will be back", but better :) I also did a little bit of shopping in the last weeks and could put my hands on a whole engine
So I hope I can keep you updated whenever possible if there´s interest, gotta love those old ladies ! :)

This sounds interesting- 105mm piston on this new engine along with some trick parts (Pankl conrod?)
This surely has loads of torque :)
