Kennedy Meadows IV (Kern Plateau) - August 19-21, 2011

Well folks, it's that time of the year again! Riding the Kern Plateau is something many of us look forward to each riding season. This riding weekend has something for everyone. Trails range from wide fireroads to narrow single track. There is something up there for everyone to enjoy. There is also sweet single track for both the intermediate rider and expert rider. The single track up there offers spectacular views of lush meadows and flowing creeks to dip into.

We'll be camping at the same spot as previous years: Troy "OVERFLOW" (pull in and go all the way to the back).

I have purchased one 1/2 cord of firewood for this epic rally and everyone is welcomed to grab some for their personal camp spot (if you end up not hanging out at the main campfire).

A friendly reminder...I will be asking for donations to cover the cost of the wood and Rob.G's trouble for loading and hauling it up to camp.

All profits from the wood and t-shirts will be donated to the Adventure Rider website and The Blue Ribbon Coalition.

You'd have to plan it on my Grandma's 102nd birthday weekend wouldn't ya . Probably can't make this one.

Last year I rode the green sticker wr. Do those lOgging roads go anywhere? Riding the dr on some of those trAils scare me.

From what I remember most (if not all) those logging roads are dead ends but there are lots of 'em. Small bikes are more suitable for the miles and miles of fun single track though. Man I need a small bike!

Ive done the small bike thing my whole life, I need to camp off the bike. I'm drunk and gonna put the cafe bars onthe xs 400

LOL ...and I'm :stoned I want to camp more off the bike as well. It helps when someone who is driving up can haul your food and drink.
