Sirretta Pass is on Sirretta Trail (34E12)
We passed it just after Big Meadow on last year's 100 mile death ride.
I decided to skip it when I realized that you and Brent were too old-and-slow to handle it :augie
(Of course, you know i'm joking, right? :lol3)

Looks to me like Chuck and Jerry were both keeping a darned good pace :eek1
I probly would've been slower, but then I wouldn't have stopped ('cept for pics) and I would've kept my bike right-side-up :D

Finally some one to talk trash with me, thanks for sacking up Matt! :D
Yeah I wasnt gonna say anything, but we could have made the death march at least an hour earlier if we didnt have that that dead wood Riceless to slow us down!!!:poser

Just looked up the Serrita trail, looks to be only one way in/ one way out, never been on it!! So cant wait to give it a whirl!!!

Funny thing about all this helmet cam coverage. When you go over the same trail dozens of times and dozens of edits you can make yourself look like a pro rider!

Here's a pic or two of rider914 that puddles and I got when we ran into him on the Monache Jeep Road (well, when Matt ran into us ... :D )

We were on a ten-day KLR trip from San Francisco, and, thanks to threads like this on ADV, we wanted to check out Sherman Pass and the motorcycle-only trails in the national forest on the Kern Plateau ... we rolled through Troy Overflow Sunday morning, but guess that everyone was out riding ... :ricky

Anyway, rider914 showed us a nice meadow where we camped Sunday night ...

We hope to get back to the Kern Plateau again, someday, and explore a bit more with unloaded bikes ... simply an amazing motorcycle destination ... Thanks to Matt for all his great tips about the area! :clap

    see you around the campfire,

In the hour plus of video you shot of me leading you.

Show me five minutes where you were able to keep pace with me?

No big deal and we don't need to get into a pissing match... Just five minutes

    Just a gentlemens challenge.

And no fireroad BS or the last mile or two before we get back to camp.

    No harm in that right????

Now you're talking! I never did understand why some guys get into this "chest pounding race mode" when just going for a trail ride. No matter fast you think you are, there is always going to be someone who is a faster/better rider.

That's why I do a lot more solo rides. No one to compete with but myself……

We all like to see video right???

He has plenty... I am being as polite as I can.

I am not putting anyone down or beating my chest here.

So I will just leave it at that.

Post it or not just a challege.

I sure do wish someone had pics/video of our ride on that nasty trail we did up there in the meadows. I might have been taking up the rear, but I had a blast bulldogging my bike over those huge rocks at 8000+ feet!

What just absolutely blew my mind was Noel "dunerat" riding over that shit and not even breathing hard at the top! It was a challenge for me. I was sucking gas and my poor 300 was a steaming teakettle even with the Evens coolant!

Also kudos go out to Kenny "purelick" who has increased his skill level 10 fold over the past season or two.

Richi "klammer" remains the steady "middle of the road" rider who is ALWAYS there to help us slower guys.

Ben "excndez" is well, just Ben. One of the fastest skilled riders I have ever met. Also would take up the rear a few times to help out the slower guys.

The other guy, Topy I think was his name, was the SICK FUCKER of the bunch. He is the one that led us through that nasty shit!

All in all I had a really fun time. I am trying to plan another KM trip before winter hits.

That's cool! I want one of those cameras. It's pretty cool that you can just turn it on and ride. Besides I would have the ultimate view watching people crash while I take up the rear eating dust.
