    KMSR Field and Forest Ride

    3rd Annual Dual Sport Event

    Sunday, October 21, 2007

Ride over 70 miles of scenic secondary roads connecting privately owned properties, each with one to five-mile off-road trail loops. These are dual sport loops and not adventure trails. New properties have been added to this year’s run! The off-road loops contain regular and hero sections.

I sent my money in on last Tuesday. Did not hear from the KMSR if I made the entry, But I figure I made the cut. Does anyone know if they give you map on roll chart or how they map the route.

Who is going and what are you riding?

I will be there on a DRZ400S, while my dad rides his KTM450EXC.

This is the first time to this event for both of us. How does it compare to the Wabeno happenings?

    Looking forward to it!

More pavement, Shorter off-road sections (up to 12 miles long last year). I don't think the Hero routes were quite as technical as Wabeno either. Lots of guy's backyard trails and Farmer's fields. Still lots of fun though, Especially for the guys on the big bikes.

Theres usually a couple Fun suprises along the way that the KMSR guys throw in.

Check out the Pics from last year

Madwrench is coming over with me. My little cousin "BIG GUSS- DA HUMAN CHAINSAW" is meeting us over there and going to play on his exc 250.

as far as better or different, I would like to Quote Randy from this years big woods , while passing the mason jar and being asked about what kind of shine it was. " don't matter ....itss all good!"
riding is riding , and it beats the hell out of working in a windowless block building.

    Per the KMSR site:

    7 – 8:30 a.m. Registration
    8:45 a.m. Riders meeting
    9:00 a.m. First bikes out
    9:30 a.m. Last bikes out
12:00 p.m. Lunch on the trail
4:00 p.m. Ride ends at MidCities
    4:30 p.m. Dinner

I will be there with Little John selling tickets for the '07 DRZ400-S charity raffle.

Probably ride a 200exc, but maybe a DRZ -- haven't quite decided yet -- kind of wondering how much blacktop is involved.:dunno

    - Brian

P.S.: Per the confirmation letter question -- I didn't get one either, but didn't really expect to.
