Not until They have a poutine in Montreal
Anyone familiar with the history or any speculations as to how these types of events were handled 50, 100, 200, 500, 2000+ years ago?
In before the first Newfoundland sighting.
'Tis too easy to spot a CFA (come from away) here on The Rock.
And then there is the language barrier.
"Mounties always get their man"
for me, there are too many dark spots and questions in this story.
they were already convicted in the press and society, although the police use the term “suspects”.
I think the cops will just shoot them down so that no one knows the truth.
If the entire country you lived in was trying to find you for murder and you were innocent would you keep running or try to straiten things out? Two people doing that no less, stinks like guilty pretty bad. They’re in a dangerous place and only making it more so if they’re innocent.
It’s human nature for society to judge, these two are bleeding in the shark filled waters of that judgement slashing away at any belief that they’re innocent.
Ya don’t think so.

They have brought a Dive Team to Gillam .

CBC says the Queen's Cowboys are sending a dive team in now.
A damaged aluminum boat was found along the river, so I guess there's a possibility they drowned? Like looking for a needle in a haystack:
Those two young guys are both 6'4". Dunno why that doesn't get mentioned more, as they'd stick out like sore thumbs you'd think.
That's a really good point. Why wouldn't they mention this obvious departure from the norm to look for. How often do you see two 6'4" guys running around together?
They have mentioned their height a few times.
Down in Portland, quite often...if they're dressed in drag.
damaged or abandoned watercraft can be found along all the northern rivers in Canada, nothing unusual.
Albany River, no settlements within 50 miles...
A badly damaged tin boat is cause for an underwater search? Hoping there is more to this story, such as....was there a motor found because they sure didn't do that damage by hand or by paddling into an object. Ice damage?
