I am Klaus from MotoScuba Adventures in Playa del Carmen Mexico and I am in Cuba ready to ride around the island I am with JamieZ and FinTec, Jorge Victorica and Amit Harel. Here are some pictures as we wait out quarantine. Our mission is to explore every inch of the island and be ambassadors of good friendship and motorcycle sport.

Will be following your report along with Jamie & Finn, and should end up with a real good idea of the motorcycle touring scene in Cuba.

    Hi Klaus,

Well it looks like there's good enough signal there for you to be able to post everything that you did. :thumb
Did you all get vaccinated as part of your entry/quarentine protocol?

That's one hell of a monstrous looking top box that you have on your bike!
It looks to be about the same volume as 2 large full size panniers, if not even a little more?
Thanks for posting your adventures so that we may all follow along.

    Safe travels!

Yes it will be interesting I’m excited to hopefully finally today in the afternoon or tomorrow morning the authorities will finish our paperwork so we finally can go on the road
When I say adventure I don’t mean only the picture perfect experience to get to a place of natural beauty such as Alaska or a place like that without any other thrills when I am in adventure it includes everything I’ve been organizing tours to Cuba for the last four years taking motorcycles on 120 foot motor sailor built in 1895 and slowly converted from a fisher into a Motorcycle transport between Panama and Columbia in the Darian gap and between is the Mujeres and Cienfuegos in Cuba taking every year small group of 15 motorcycles to Cuba going to a communist country is not so easy but that’s part of the thrill to overcome paperwork and rules and burocracy and lately very enforced Covid 19 prevention rules. To make it to you but we had to take in account the five day quarantine in our ship which we spend in the marina sunbathing and fraternizing among our group and getting to know us better.
Once we had the second negative Covid test thanks to our contact in Cuba the paperwork went through a pretty smooth and we could do everything in one morning our bikes got new license plate and new registration and the temporary import paperwork the reason for that is that this way our motorcycles Undergo the same rules than the rest of the Cuban vehicles however we got OK license plates which means we got international technician plates which allow us special privileges.
Once we had our paperwork we decided to ride from Cienfuegos to Guajimico a beautiful highway with very few potholes

Yes it’s a 48 L box I have in the back that holds two helmets or a lot of gifts candies medicines and things I brought to give away to the population in isolated towns in Cuba to make somebody’s day and leave a little bit of our possibilities in meet at homes and put a smile on a children’s face most of these boxes are going to go back empty ha ha Ha

No we did not get vaccine yet this is all a rumor there’s not even vaccines in Cuba maybe in Awahna there’s a few but the rest of Cuba is not seeing one vaccine is there a rumors only our signals are perfect you buy for very cheap cube in line and you have Internet access all over the island and you have enough power to upload pictures and everything you want a little bit slower than in the USA or Mexico but still enough to make it work :-)
