What's a thread without pictures ...... in this case a start. A month or so ago I was in my dealers shop as he was doing his winter booking order for Klim gear. He allowed me to browse his copy of the 2017 Klim brochure and I saw what is meant to be the replacement http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/klim-overland-and-traverse-being-phased-out-replaced.1129598/ for the Overland model, the Carlsbad. It looked much better than the Overland, but looks aren't everything to everybody. So I set up a search for the jacket and today this popped up http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/klim-carlsbad-jacket , granted no pictures but the official release must be imminent. Hoping it has a better fit/cut than the Overland (looks like it may) but everyone's built a little different. From what the Revzilla article implies the Badlands is what the new Carlsbad follows only lighter, then they also have a Badlands weight Kodiak jacket http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/klim-kodiak-jacket.1181304/ with a more European cut. I've got the current Badlands and love it, maybe a lighter model would work too.
