KLX250 sensor just takes a key cycle to reset. I learned that on day 1!
Vote and get it over with. Let's ride this sweet little bikes! No politics here! Do not reply!
I'm looking into getting one of these bikes, what am I looking ar for otd prices?
Not really an easily answered question as there are many variables. The biggest might be availability. Also this manufactured pandemic has actually been a boon to motorcycle sales ( at least where I am at ) so dealers are not budging much on price.
Then you have what ever taxes and fees there are in your state.
Look into used ones! I've seen stupid-low mile 2018s and 2019s for just over $4,000! That's a smoking deal!
I think some guys buy one, decide off-roading isn't for them, and sell it with less than 1,000 miles.
In New Hampshah...
I purchased my 2020 KLX at the end of August for just under $5k out the door (not including sales tax). Was fortunate that three dealers in my area had bikes in stock. Two of the dealers were within $250 of each other. Biggest difference in final price was amount of fees charged by each dealer.
Thanks for all the replies,I'm gonna try to procure the bike from new hampshsa that ag streak sent me,thanks for heads up man..try to get a loan cause sadly I don't have 5 grand on retainer n see how it goes lol

I was more then willing to try to procure the funds n take my chance on a road trip oh well..been going back n forth w the 230/250..one dealer qoated me 6476 otd for a 230 I'm like gtfo here..motorcycle companies better start going back to where they came from before they go down the toilet or alienate rest of there base..the 1 kid i work with hes not quite 30 yet we both talk bikes n feel same way like screw these 9 grand bikes
Was hoping I could get the bike otd for 5 grand, really all I want to pay for a bike anymore if even less...thought bout going out of state but coming back to the garbage state w 6 percent tax n who knows what other fees this thieving state will collect
What state are you in?
For those of you who live in an area where you have to put the bike away for winter: How do you winterize it? A riding buddy just got herself one and asked me but as my bike is carbed I'm unsure of the winterizing of the FI version. It'll be stored in an unheated shed.
I'm in NJ rc
How long will it sit?
That XT250 is in Dover, Delaware.
Late October to June, might be early in June or late depending on how the winter went. Usually wait til the forest roads are clear of snow to plate/tag our dual sports. Save the tires for dirt. Valley bottoms are ~ 1700', FSRs climb up the mountains to 7000'. Fairly narrow valleys.
That is quite a while.
Are your plates not yearly? Were it mine, I would keep it plated and just fill it with nonethanol fuel with a shot of Stabil or Startron. The FI seem to be able to handle storage much better than carbed bikes.
