I am looking for a big tank 20+ litre to fit a 01 KLX650R (No, Not a KLR).

Does anyone know if Acerbis or IMS do a tank, or if a new KLR plastic tank can fit a KLX. The older KLX's frames are different to the 01, that is 93 - 99.

Any advice appreciated, it's for a mate.

this probably doesnt help but,,,,,acerbis does list a big tank for the older klx, is yours a perimeter frame ala the 93-96 klx? I just bought a R tank for my C, not sure yet if it'll fit. the klr is such a diff frame,

best of luck, big is better for gas :1drink

I have seen 20 Litre Acerbis tanks on KLX's so you should be able to track one down. Get in touch with Off Road Imports, they will be able to tell you if they have stock or can get stock of them. Hope this helps.

Think most of the KLX stuff can be changed between years.

Look under plastics in the off road stuff.

Apparently there are none listed for a 01 however, Burenn, your mates looks like a 01. The frame is different.

I can get an earlier one of my Brother in law, but it won't fit.

Let you now if I have success. What is the web site or ph number for Off Road imports?
