years and years ago we had a really nice DRZ110 stolen from us, since then I've wanted another one just because, but i didn't need it, kids had grown and such. Well a guy I know puts one up on FB for $200, when I asked him about it he said "It's a turd". Well why not,

I should have ran, but NOOOO , now I've got it all torn apart and the list is long

piston says 50 on the top,and it looks like the cam chain or something has grenaded in the past, but it's been repaired , by how the case bolts look like it's had the cases split, so we'll see, things like chain adjusters, and rear wheel spacers have been farmed out to big nuts, among other little crap that shouldn't be missing or hacked up, the most aggervating is the rear brake lever has lost it's bolt, and they put a spot of weld to keep it from falling off

plan so far is to make it look as close as show room new as possible, I've got a really short daughter, and a couple grand kids that I'm sure will enjoy it.

that's the boss where the kick start shaft would go, someone's half assed it,

soo soon as I get the stator off, friend of mine is going to put it into his mill, find the center of that boss, then fill it with weld and remachine it back out,

It is nice to have friends with the right tools, when you don't. Good start!

One more step closer. The other little spot is from someone ham fisting too long of a bolt into the case and busting it out,

To play devil's advocate, why not cut your losses and get a new lifan 125 motor, or another 110 motor from someone who has already done the swap?

If I remember correctly these had another gear or two built into them, you just needed to swap a few parts around. Look into it!
