New to the forum, so this thread might be placed totally wrong (sorry if so). However, here we go:
So I have some heavy knocking from my lc4 640 engine. I have no idea where it might come from, but I have checked the clutch, rod bearing and the chain. I have now started to demount my engine, and found a part that i have no idea of its purposes and especially if it is supposed to be a lose part as well? I have never opened this kind of engine before, so this is very new to me.
Please follow the link to see the video.
    Thanks in advance lads.
    (sorry for my bad English)

I think thats the decompression on the cam for starting.. Knocks are hard to find so getting good opinions of the knock might help.. any video of the knock running?

Go to thumpers and look for gunner buck, it does sound like it's your decompression function on the head though,(normal).
