One of my buddies saw this uber-rare Krauser MKM1000 some guy found buried in rubble in Iraq and posted to a K bike Facebook group. Yesterday the guy was asking 4K USD, but now it seems he’s looking for $7K. It clearly needs a lot of work and doesn’t appear to have the highly coveted 4-valve heads. Shipping would be pricey as well. Pretty cool find tho.

You can still buy the frames and fairings (might be replicas)

    This one bothers me.
‘Some guy’ finds dead Iraqi airheads’ pride and joy, steals it and wants to sell it.
I suppose this guy finds/steals lots of stuff?

It is called theft. Unless the past owner/next of kin has been found and a purchase negotiated. Theft.

I'm intrigued about what the heck that thing is that appears to be attached to the rear of the purple K bike in the background of the first pic.

A bizarre styling exercise. He has it on Facebook on one of the K groups.

I've never liked the looks of that Krauser bike. Not saying it isn't performance cool But I don't like the looks.

Tried to buy it, thought I had it sewin up and then get a message to say he had sold it underme to an American. Was quite pissed off. We had settled on a price, was just workin on shipping. Had that sorted just before he messaged me.

Do people realise that these Krauser’s were a kit bike. You bought your new BMW and then you bought the kit and threw your stuff on it. The heads were a seperate kit.

As a road bike all the better for not having the Krauser heads

As a young fella reading two wheels when they did a review on one I thought they were cool. If I can find that old mag I'll share it :-)

Though ole mate shouldn't be selling it unless he actually owns it...
