I've been searching high and low for the wattage a 250XC-W puts out (looking at 2010 and newer models) and I can't find it anywhere. Unfortunately the KTM fiche just calls it a stator so that is a big help there. Im looking to add a trailtech X2 HID light (70 watts) with a braking tail light so my riding buddy doesn't rear end me when I slow down quickly at night. If the stator can put out 100 watts I think that should be plenty of power to do a head and tail light.
I would like to know too. I've been looking on other BB's, with no luck yet. I want to do the same or a similar light, plus make it plated... (Gotta love Idaho)
ktm has 3 stator and flywheel combos first its the 2k-1 witch is on the sx models and only puts out about 35 watt tan there is the 2k-2 witch is like the 2k-1 but with an extra weight on for enduro and trail riding. Than there is the 2k-3, now this one puts out 110 Watt and is what you find on the exc models http://custombodykits.blogspot.com/2009/03/new-ktm-250-xc-w-2009-2010-reviews-and.html according to the above link your bike has a 2k-3, aka 110Watts of power baby. http://www.trailtech.net/SR-8312.html also, usual traltech can only manage to increase the output by 10 or 15 watts. So by logical reasoning you have a 85 to 90 watt stator in your bike. I also compared the flywheel size of a 250sxf (4t) with with yours any the xcw's flywheel is much bigger.
