Yes unfortunately that beast didn't quite make it across the Simpson this yr. Trouble with the support vehicle turned us around about 100 kms in. Cant leave a mate behind. Oh well leaves a trip for next yr. 20180824_092407.jpg

Big shake down ride on the 500 today to test the new parts...….very happy with the bike. Progressive rear shock spring and new fork springs to suit my 100kg. Big tank, new plastics, windshield, new rubber. First time I've used a fatty front tyre on the kato and couldn't fault it. Huge improvement allround…..especially in the soft stuff and single track. Overall pretty stoked with the way it rides. Just need to put the barkbusters and bar risers back on and I'm done.

    +1

A lot of the recent "Adventure" 500's are looking sharper than many of the 'Safari race bikes that are being prepped of late. :clap :tb

... these two of note especially... just a few years back, these were the type of "state of the art" bikes that CPW etc. were prepping in the battle for outright Oz 'Safari honours... :clap

    "Rapid Adventure" bikes... :lol3 :clap

    Thankyou Sirs

5.6 litres out back there Troy, would have liked a bit more, but the space available is at a premium on these enduro bikes.

The screen isnt meant be a stand alone unit either, cos it does look a bit unfinished in its current trim, but Ive got a IMS 17 litre tank on the way & when it arrives Ill knock up some spoilers to bridge the gap between the screen & the rad shrouds. At least its rideable tho :D

5.6 litres is a lot of fuel (range). Such a superb way of adding fuel.

Toolbox down the front is a great idea. Force still make such bash plates if anyone is interested. Mine is a 4 litre fuel tank.

    Hey Guys,

So after haunting for months this thread finally getting my own 500 to drool over, get it mid November and can't wait!!!...

Wondering if any Ozzie members have used the

    https://www.motominded.com/collections/led-kits/products/squadron-xl80-kit-2017-ktm

for your adventurised KTM 500 or the XLPRO version which is 40W.

Would get it with the dimmer, wondering if it would still blind oncoming traffic at night due to the spread of the beam or if its ok. Seeing if anyone has Ozzie experience with this product.

Wondering if you've been pulled up by the coppas or if you've got this setup and it rocks..... Other option is to get a Cyclops LED for the original housing but at night I want maximum light I can get. Not wanting to bolt on a heap of lights to the handlebars, wanting to keep it as stock at the front as possible.

    Cheers guys,

Can't wait to post up some rides and pics....
