Quick and Dirty searching. There have been a couple of great threads started on these bikes and a lot of great questions and solutions are buried in those threads... It is not my intention to replace them, but only to provide an index to those FAQ topics. I'll try and keep this organized and up to date with mods, fixes and general discussion topics. If you have a subject that you think needs to be added to the list, send me a PM and link and i'll add it to the list.

Can we change the yellow font to something a bit more in contrast with white? The yellow hardly shows up at all to these old eyes.
    Muchas Gracias.

Lol. Actually I think I should have pushed the cold start button in, seeing it was only 40f in the garage and not above 20c. Hehe.
Learning curve. Bring on some better weather!!

Opinions on a top shelf plastic skid plate that has very good side case protection for 2017 500 excf?

...for my 2012, I got the KTM Powerparts one which came stock on the SixDays. Not as much side protection as I'd like. But it has served me well. Much preferred over the sound reverberating aluminum one I had initially.

I found this ktm number 79603090044 but that was OZ site. Looked like good case protection.

None as I have not purchased one BUT I think of plastic as a kicked up stone guard not a bash plate .

Maybe you should try one then. I have them on both my bikes and they have slid across many logs and rocks without breaking yet. Also when they bend they go back to original shape unlike aluminum which can cause havoc.

    Good points
    But
If they have bent isn't the frame also bent ?
I have looked at them . I don't like to buy things twice .
