I’ll be curious to hear how the suspension AND that KKE wheel turns out. I almost went that direction when I got my Cush setup, but in the end I didn’t feel it worth the risk on a relatively unknown brand to save $100. Hope yours goes forever.

Me too on the suspension. I know jack about how to tune any suspension but knew for a face my setup was not for my pudgy arse. Look forward to a great starting point to learn on.

Was going to go the Tusk Impact route but they have been out of stock since Feb so i researched KKE and found no bad reviews. Always some but when those compare it to an Excel Takasago or DID i shake it off. I don't ride or have the skills to warrant even a Tusk so i will be happy i am sure.

Ride safe in the Urban Jungle. I Sure enjoy the pics and write ups.

Thx! I only do the urban jungle to tide me over till I can get back out into the true wilderness. It’s a long haul to that from central Texas.
Plus, it’s cool to stumble upon a dark corner of a city I’ve lived in for 25 years and never seen. One more piece of the magic inherent in dual sport bikes.

Anyone who says dirt bikes don’t belong in the city just doesn’t appreciate the beauty of urban decay. C0FD976A-8DE4-4DCA-8989-B105FABB11D5.jpeg 04634D0E-E1E1-4669-BFC5-38580C77EB6D.jpeg

I mean, urban exploration sometimes feels like accidentally stumbling upon ruins of the Roman Empire in some lost corner of Northern Africa. Almost. 0EDB07C4-3E5E-4E67-8065-B2645F2816DF.jpeg

Can you confirm that this is the screw holding the elbow in? This has got to be it, but there doesn't appear to be a "retaining tab" and I don't want to be taking carb fasteners out unnecessarily, especially the soft phillips-head variety.

^^ If you rebuild your carb at anytime, change the garbage JS Phillips to hex. Mid body gasket set should change the security screws too if I remember correctly.

A little morning dual sport rip from the casa with my sons.

That they were able to be dressed and ready for a 9am rollout was a miracle :-D

And the cowdog is begging to ride!

20210818_135710.jpg Just picked this 07 525 up today! All it needs is a pipe guard and probably some seat work. :ricky

All of the new postings of bikes have updated graphics. I have looked off/on for a few weeks and can't find any for the EXC just SX ones. Where does everyone get theirs? Whole kit is fine but shrouds and side panels i am really after.

Anybody ever see one of these side cover aux tanks before? It came up on eBay so I had to snatch it.

Not me. Assume it's just one side? Interested in how you fix that plug.

It’ll be a fun challenge to plug it. It is just a single side, and there’s no way it could be 8L capacity. I’m guessing more like 1.8L or so. Or maybe .8L to that hole!

Searching this group revealed several riders with a baja designs model. Yours looks different from the orange one I posted, the filler is shorter on your black one by a bit. I’m guessing this orange one holds less. I’ll be sure to update when I have it in hand.
