Changed over to my SM wheels that have been sitting since 2013. I forgot how much fun it is with this setup. It's a totally different bike.
I'm running 16/45 and it works well.
Good to see other 12-13’s out there
16/45 is close to the stock 15/42.
sweet maverick !
is it a grabber?
Thank you! Yes, it's a 72 Grabber.
I have a few 690 questions...
came across a very nicely set up 09 690SMC. Price is great and it has a bunch of nice parts on it (Marchesinis etc).
Downside is it has 56k on it. How long do these engines tend to last?
He claims it hasn't been rebuilt but he's thrown a clutch in it, had new rockers when he bought it (in 2014, 50k miles ago), shifts well, doesn't burn oil.
He has it posted for 3700 which is damn cheap, especially given the wheels, but the good deal part goes away if I have to throw a couple grand at the engine.
technically it's a 690 :)
and my 2021 690 Enduro
Awesome Is there a project thread for it here on adv?
no but maybe I should make one. because this bike is awesome, so much that I thought about doing it again with 2020 exc
it's a shame that KTM didn't make an EXC 690
this 21 is intriguing. What’s the tanks setup? Why the gap on the seat?
I am working on adapting an oem 2019-2022 450 RFR fuel tanks set on my 690....there are still some modifications to be made, as remake a saddle
Like the maverick, I had a 72 comet gt that was grabber blue back in the day. Nice bike too.
