I've been in the country for less then 8 hours. This was supposed to be the 2nd leg of my RTW. My 2010 KTM 690 was taken from the corner of Talbot Place and Talbot street in Dublin in broad daylight. I was in a near by hostel resting after an overnight flight. I put a padlock through the front break but they cut the lock with a bolt cutter. Obviously it wasn't enough. There was no luggage on it at the time. The bike is white with a Rally Raid fairing. Minnesota licence plate 12071MH Keep your eyes and ears open please.
Sorry to hear about the theft, I hope it's found soon. I've posted a link to this thread on various other forums on your behalf.
Word is out on biker.ie and IBF so I'm sure the local lads in Dublin are keeping an eye out for it. We'll keep an eye out down south should it make its way down here. I've put this up on Facebook too. The more exposure this gets the better... Sorry to hear of you loss Noah, I hope you get it back.
I hope to meet up with Noah later here in Dublin. The police in Dublin are putting it out (on the radio) a few times a shift at the moment so he may get lucky. Also a few people from www.irishbikerforum.com are offering to meet up with Noah tomorrow (saturday) for a coffee and a chat, so if he's interested at least he will have some adult company.
good stuff everyone. I was due to meet Noah over here and hopefully still will. I've a WR250R that he could use if he doesn't get his moto back, but I really hope he does - it looked a proper well set up RTW bike.
Disgusted to hear this...some welcome you got to our country I'm based in Cork, down the south, and have put this out on Facebook and am following the Irishbikerforum thread too. If I hear or see anything I'll be in touch and I dearly hope you get it back.
From ukgser:- It's been chased all over Finglas west at the minute by the Guards. Still in one peace for now.
Is Fiona in hot pursuit?........ I hope Muddymatt doesn't mis-read this as saying Foina is in a hot swimsuit!
Hi Noah, Sorry to hear about your bike, with a little luck you'll have it back by the weekend. In the meantime if you need anything, I live in Dublin and will be happy to help.
from one of my contacts bike seen being chased up Cappagh road finglas being chased by 3 patrol cars , he says that there is a small gate that the Theives use in that area to enter DUNSINK Dump and a lot of bikes are recovered there , if you can get a few mates to check that area asap it should help will try and get a GPS Ref for that area N53.38510, W-6.32024 Dunsink lane , also call into garda station in Finglas pg
Playing the waiting game. If/when I get her back. I would like to take one of you up on an offer of a place to stay. Preferably with a very safe place to park her.
Noah, hope you get the bike back in a usable condition and that you're trip's delayed as little as possible.
The Gaurds cann't catch it. Finglas is really made for this type of bike unfortunately. Short roads, lanes and fields.
