For those waiting with bated breath* about the longer clutch cable...

You're going to have to hold it a little longer. BUT, I got word back from Barnett Clutches (they also make cables!). Their holiday vacation will be over on the 6th of January. They'll let me know what they need in the way of 790 cable info.

I originally used "baited" and had to double check.
*Bated and baited sound the same and we no longer use bated (let alone the verb to bate), outside this one set phrase, which has become an idiom. Confusion is almost inevitable. Bated here is a contraction of abated through loss of the unstressed first vowel (a process called aphesis); it means “reduced, lessened, lowered in force”. So bated breath refers to a state in which you almost stop breathing as a result of some strong emotion, such as terror or awe.

I'm sorry, but yellow is an entirely unacceptable, and frankly forbidden colour to have on a KTM. Stop it ... just stop it!

Your jack will thank you too ... :fpalm:hmmmmm:loco

:photog... and no, I'm not POI. (again?)

It absolutely is, but I wasn’t sure if TT was goofing or not.

Mine self ejected at some point over the last few months without me immediately noticing. I was wondering why the front end felt lighter!

Rydonair phone charger/holder. This little item costs about 20$ and clamps to the handle BAR and has a witched USB outlet for charging the phone. My experience with is about 2 yrs and 20k miles between 2 bikes, 650GS and now the 790. About 10% or 2k miles of that was dirt roads, jeep trails, COBDR and CDT. No issues.
On the 790 I power it off the hot wire under the head light. I chose that one because the charger has a switch so I can turn it off at night but also use it to charge whatever (intercom, tablet, gps,) while eating lunch or setting up the camp in the evening. The LED reminds me to turn it off after dark. 478804441.jpg

Have anyone put a higher weight oil the stock steering damper?
Watched this vid youtube.com/watch?v=ripEgvwRxj4&t=1s the dampers look very similar but it looks like the 1090-1290 damper have more stroke left that he uses to push the seal out.
On my damper i have only 2.5mm of stroke left. Im afraid it wont be enough to push the seal out the other end.

I know a scotts is the better option but i wanna try this first :-)

I noticed a few light swirl marks on my LCD, so I assume the person putting it together cleaned it with a dirty rag. I ordered and installed a screen protector from Speedo Angles. Pretty easy install and a quality product. It took almost a month directly from their site, but too cold to drive much anyway. I always order extra screen protectors when I buy them because I always screw up the first one. They are cheap enough order a few just in case.
