Which part exactly is the mid pipe? Do you mean the part that connects the slip on with the rest of the pipe? But how could they get such results without the mid pipe connected?

Quick shifter - I’m enjoying it

When I bought the bike, I was out of state and knew I would be going Offroad within a few hrs of ownership. I didn’t want to complicate things, so I purchased it then promptly shut it off. Rather the sales dude did, along w everything else possible you could turn off at my request. Salesman gave me a quizzical look :lol3

I slowly started adding stuff back on during my trip home. But I still didn’t mess too much with it until now.

Bike is past it’s first service so I went out on a nice ride and had an open stretch where I finally used it fully open. Felt very smooth since I was going past 6k. It also caused a big smile to form

Here we go - some pics from today - As yesterday in the garage. Not a huge difference in height, you can notice it very slightly to not really make a difference. It feels narrower than stock but again not massive. BUT the position it puts you on the bike is now PERFECT, feels like a big dirtbike now...going from standing to sitting or just sitting is a massive improvement for me (feels like jumping into a van after driving a sportscar) :)
also the shape of the seat at the front now allows you to get up closer for better cornering. My advise is if you like the feel and position of your stock EXC or dirtbike seat get this or a similar one for the 790 - as @06Z said it should come stock with the seat or at least give people the option....

Finally installed the tank ring yesterday and it is a no-go for sure if you have a Scott's damper. Not even the SW-Motech micro bag fits. The tank ring fits backwards on this bike so you have to reverse the plate that attaches to the tank bag. I am going to keep the ring in case something changes in the future, but for now it is a tank bag with straps...

Feels harder than stock but I would still like a bit harder (just my preference) still very happy though. Also because of the height increase you do notice the wind a bit more. It's weird - although it's supposed to be 2cm higher than stock you don't really notice it. But for off road riding for me it's a MUST HAVE. I love the position.

The best mod I ever made on my old 950 Adv was a Renazco seat and this reminds me a lot of that.

I like the sandwich idea. Longer bolts and some crushtubes with tomatoes and mustard.

Took about 10 minutes. Allows air flow and doesnt block the horn, if you can call it a horn. 1563536350671.jpg

Flat higher one for me - I prefer the position and the harder padding, although you would have to test for yourself as the higher seat height with the low screen position and there is a noticeable difference in wind blast - not sure what it's like in the high position yet.

if its no better with the higher screen position then for touring and if I couldn't find another solution I would go back to the stock seat.

For days mostly off road with short ish road sections the high seat is a no brainer.
