What about backing off the freeplay adjuster at the lever so you have some slack to work with? You'll have to re-adjust your freeplay after changing holes anyway. Cut the pin if you have to, but it shouldn't be too hard to get at.

I just switched my HDB with the 'big bolts' over to my 790. I used to run Cycra's but won't any longer. Even on the 300 they were too light duty. I agree, though, the Cycra's look a lot better.

Something to think about next - purchasing levers that bend.

Does anyone know if there is 3d model of 790 frame/subframe available? I looked at grabcad and there is few other models but not 790 (yet).. Wish I had more time to spend around the bike it would be fun to model the whole thing :type

Anyone using the Wolfman B-Base or E-Base with Rollie bags? If so any pics and how’s it working out?

Motominded from CO Springs had his 790 with no back plastics set up with Wolfman. Looked fantastic at KTM Rally. Check his website. No doubt some photos or am sure he would post a few.

    1) I installed LED signals I found locally at my Canadian Tire store. They turned out to be sequential which made me wonder if they'd be bright enough but boy they're pretty bright in my view. I tweaked the digital relay speed to my liking so it has a bit of a pause, without being too long so for the majority of the time the LED's are lighting up nicely. Damned if they don't match the 790 perfectly.

    2) Installed the HDB (Highway Dirt bike) Ultimate handguards with the 'big bolts'. I transferred them over from the 300xc so I asked Paul if he could set me up with the longer touring aluminum pieces so they'd fit the 790 and he went above and beyond as he always does. Such a stand up guy. I think they fit the 790 even better than the 300. Gotta love bolting them in with a bolt the size of the bars ID. Easy to tap, blob of lock tite and bob's yer uncle.

Would love to see some photos or maybe a short video of the LED signals.

    Thanks typeamark,

Here are some photos. Correct, we removed the back plastics to keep a narrow profile. Great for day trips or hotel trips. We would swap out for larger Rollies and tail back for multi day off bike camping excursions.

Our overall goal with luggage is slim and lightweight as possible. The Wolfman B-base is our favorite after removing the back panels.
If you do this, we recommend applying some protective tape or film to the subframe. We wore a bit of paint off the frame. ugh

You can see here, (below) we have a gap in the 2 mounting points after removing the rear panels. We have a solution for that :D
This photo is from a late spring ride. We removed the passenger pegs. We have since re-installed the rear pegs for a better strap mounting position.
    See next photo.

Here is a sneak peek of the removable tool pouch we are developing with Wolfman.

Short video of the sequential signal. Honestly haven't pulled it out of the garage in the direct sun to see the brightness, so I can't report entirely on their efficacy.

As many here have reported, the stock windscreens are less than optimal. Today I installed a Puig windscreen on my R model. In the low position, I can easily see over it. Took it for a short blast to highway speeds and no buffeting at all. None. Very happy with it.

The Puig screen is 9 inches longer than the R screen. My line of sight is about 4 inches above the top edge at center with the screen in the low position. For those with an S model, the R screen top edge at center is about 1.5 inches above the two mounting bolts.

Ordered from AOMC? Mine was ordered Sept. 9 and it still says the order status is "picking"...

    Awesome! Thanks for the info!

I will be ordering the B-Base and some rollies.

I think I’ll use some Gorilla Tape on the frame where the B-Base makes contact. I did that on my 690 for mounting the Wolfman stuff and it worked quite well. I also bought a touch up vial of the KTM frame orange color and used it in a couple of spots where wear happened.
