Rade did say in the comments that it had a few litres of fuel in it. So maybe a few pounds less.

Just bought myself a 18' 1290S and thoroughly enjoy it, in a few years when I want to do more off road oriented exploring this will be the bike I buy. Looks to be a hell of a bike!
So 434 lbs. without gas ?
That was with a few liters of gas. It's about 462 lbs fully fueled.

Hmmm? I'm not impressed, looks to much of a street bike. I think would rather wait for the Yamaha 700 Tenere. The Yamaha motor may have less power, but its a great little engine. Little suprised at the fueled up weight of the 790R. Hell that thing weighs almost as much as my Ducati Enduro and that's a pig.
Very disappointed with the 470lb wet weight of the 790. I was really hoping for something closer to 425lbs. Yes, it's lighter than my old 1190R by 50lbs but it's still quite a bit heavier than I care to take off road and attempt to pick up by myself.
That’s an extraordinarily simplistic view. Have you seen the final iteration of the T7? The fuel tank looks like giant copy of a previous gen TTR-230 with a giant humpback. I can’t imagine how awesome the handling will be with all that weight up high. I doubt the T7 will weigh less, but I’ll bet you $100 the 790 will handle much better due to its creative design. The T7 looks like the bean counters took over and cheapened it up.
The Duck Multi Enduro runs about 560 or more full of fuel. So at least 100lbs heavier than the 790R.
My favorite review so far because of the interviews.
Highly doubt the 1190 weighs in at only 50 pounds more . My 1090R weighs in at 540 before adding any bling or bits.
