Australia is currently in a heatwave and most of NSW is on fire. Typically over the Christmas break I ended up in the only place in Australia where it rained and subsequently got eaten to death by the mossies.

    Thanks!

Unfortunately offroading is extremely limited in the EU and especially in Germany and Austria. Depends on how much you bend the law. :hideThough the alps are very beautiful. No need for an enduro in there. I wish we had roads like in the Rocky's or laws like in Norway.

The northeast weather relented briefly and I managed to get a ride in.

I’m not braaap, but I’m running Motoz Rallz and they are confidence inspiring off road. The front feels weird on the pavement, but it’s fair trade off.

I am braaap! :) I'm running Motoz Tractionator Adventures likewise, great off road and good on road. Front hums a bit on road though.

Don't worry. The screaming banshee howl from the rear once you get some miles on them will completely drown out that hum on the front. ;)

    Nice bikes!

Are any of you 790rrrrr’ers getting front end wobble over 90-100mph? It’s a known issue on the 1290. I love my power but I can’t use all of it without incurring death wobbles!!!

I guess I’m really just looking for extra reasons to trade out;)

Didn’t notice it with the Karoos, but with the Motoz Rallz, hell yeah! Overwhelmed the stock damper, but I was switching to a Scotts anyway, and it handled it. There are people reporting success refilling the stock damper with heavier fluid.

Oddly it started when I adjusted my handlebar. Was planted up to 130mph with Karoos. Changed handlebar position further back (3rd slot) and twisted up and next time I tried it was there pretty heavily right around 100 mph. Could have been the increased tyre wear but I doubt it.

Switched to the scorpion rally str whih is more road focused and still there even though not as prominent. Would say it changed to high frequency vibrations at 120mph+

Gotta play around with the handlebars a little when I'm allowed to drive in march. Seasonal registration plate :muutt

Well, that does change the front/rear weight distribution when you move the bar. If the seat wasn’t so dished, you could slide fore and aft on the seat and experiment. I mean you can, it’s just that seat makes it a challenge.

I got the wobbles at heavy acceleration and above 60mph when i swapped the karoos to scorpion rallys. I dropped the tripples down the fork about 7mm more then stock and that made a big difference.

I see. I test rode a mates 790s on the weekend and was reminded of the feeling of punching it hard to above 130 and having a planted bike. Kinda miss it. Guess it must just be long travel and 21/19 does it...
