Thanks. Certainly a lot more room than with the OEM screen. The alternative with the OEM screen is to keep it in the higher position, and as someone else did, angle it forwards, opening up the area for the tablet.

Why not just use the tablet as a screen, it's certainly big enough. :photog

At least reports on it, I think on the main 790 thread, user was pretty happy with it

Got mine last week and installed it with the GPS. It all fits together pretty good. I like the position of the GPS in relation to the screen. Just need to get out and ride it to put its first 1000km for its first service.

You look like you might be a touratech fan, so I'll ask - do you reckon their headlight protector would fit around that Rade wind screen?

I respect the company for quick R and D on extras but usually other companies quickly catch up and manufacture a better/stronger product.
So in saying that, I do like their GPS lockable holder. Easy to adjust and fits perfect with the Rade/garage GPS mount. I purchased the Vanasche gps mount and it put the GPS to forward above the dash screen. I would need to more fabricating to make it work for me.

I don't know on the head light protector. I tried them in the past and dont like the cage/jail look at night with the shadows.
I'm going to wait and see how the stock lighting is and if required upgrade to a different lighting system down the road. I have a Baja squadron with an HID light system from my 990R I would like it incorporate into the front head light area without going to the full tower.

I’m interested to hear you thoughts on the wind protection/buffeting.

Not the headlight protector you asked about. But i asked rade about the ktm powerparts headlight protector, and that one is designed to fit with the the rade screen.

I should have it tested this weekend. I'll report what I think. With all the rain it will good to see what it deflects

I have both and can confirm that the Rade screen works with the PP headlight protector.

For anyone wondering what the Madstaad looks like on an inmate bike, this is the 18" version in dark grey. Build quality is very good and the double mount system looks plenty beefy. No comments yet on performance. Stay tuned. Although I am 6 2", I did not want a taller screen due to viz issues and my desire to have clean air on my helmet, not above it. There are several pictures of it here all in its lowest position but angled differently. View attachment 2098334
